Higher Ground

I am not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

I know that neither the Artist nor the Tattoo Studio are in charge of double-checking the meaning or spelling of any symbols or text that I've handed over or picked from their cool design sheets. It's on me to make sure everything's A-OK before it becomes a permanent part of my skin's story!

I get that there might be some artistic remixes between the design I picked and the final masterpiece on my skin. I'm also aware that, as time cruises by, my tattoo's colors and sharpness might fade a bit, all thanks to Mother Nature's way of sprinkling pigment under my skin. No worries, I'm cool with that!

I fully understand that a tattoo is a permanent alteration to my appearance, and the only ways to remove it are through laser or surgical procedures. These methods can be expensive and potentially disfiguring, with the likelihood of my skin not being completely restored to its original state. I acknowledge and accept this aspect of getting a tattoo.

I have the funds available to pay for this tattoo today, via either Cash or Card.

I'm letting go of any claim to the snaps taken of me and my awesome tattoo, and I'm totally cool with them showing up in print or digital goodies (websites, social media). (If you're not on board with this, just give your Artist a heads-up).

I've been totally clued in on the wild ride that comes with getting a tattoo! I'm well aware that there's a thrilling mix of known and mysterious risks, which could result in anything from an ouchie infection to scarring, playing hide-and-seek with melanoma, or even having a surprise party with allergic reactions to tattoo ink, rubber gloves, or sudsy soap. But guess what? I'm still super stoked to get inked and I'm happily diving into this adventure, embracing any and all twists and turns that may come my way!

I'm giving a super-duper, no-take-backs waiver and release to both the Artist and the Studio, waving goodbye to any and all legal claims I, my estate, heirs, executors, or assigns might have had. This includes any owies, boo-boos, or even those pesky direct and/or unexpected consequences that come from getting my rad tattoo. And, you know what? It doesn't matter if it was because of a slip-up or oopsie by the Artist or the Tattoo Studio, or any other reason—this waiver's got it all covered!

I'm okay with paying back both the Artist and the Tattoo Studio for any legal fees and costs they might face if I start a legal tussle against either of them, and they end up winning. I also agree that the courts of Australia are the go-to place for any legal showdowns, and they'll be the ones calling the shots when it comes to settling any disputes that pop up from this agreement. Let's keep it fair and square!

The Artist has given me the methods for taking care of my fresh ink while it heals, and I pinky promise to follow their guidelines to a T. I'm totally aware that if I don't, my tattoo might throw an infection party, and nobody wants that! If my own forgetfulness or slip-ups lead to any touch-up work needed on my tattoo, I'm cool with footing the bill and covering the expenses. No hard feelings!
